By downloading or using MIA — Marine Inspection Assistant, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MIA, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

MIA is an AI-powered maritime inspection assistant that provides guidance on PSC, SIRE, CDI, ISM, USCG, and ISPS inspections. The service includes:

AI-powered Q&A based on international maritime conventions
Voice-to-text transcription for questions
Image and document analysis
Inspection preparation tools (Quiz, Mock Interview — coming soon)

3. Important Disclaimer

⚠️ MIA is an informational tool only. Responses are generated by AI and may contain errors or outdated information. MIA does not replace professional maritime advice, official regulations, or the judgment of qualified maritime officers. Always verify critical information against official sources (IMO, Flag State, Classification Society). The developer is not liable for any consequences arising from reliance on MIA's responses.

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Plan: 20 questions per month at no charge
Premium Plan: 200 questions per month, billed monthly through Apple App Store
Enterprise Plan: Custom pricing for fleet operators
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
Refunds are subject to Apple App Store refund policies
Unused quota does not carry over to the next month

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use MIA for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent quota limits
Share account credentials with others
Upload confidential company documents without authorization
Use MIA to generate false or misleading inspection reports
Resell or redistribute MIA's responses

6. Intellectual Property

MIA and its content are owned by DSE — Data Science Enterprise. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content without permission. Questions you submit remain yours; responses generated by the AI are provided for your personal use only.

7. Privacy

Your use of MIA is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSE — Data Science Enterprise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MIA. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of MIA after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ukraine.
